Tara Empson To Visit Dallas Texas

Alexandria, VA – Tara Empson will be traveling to Dallas this September to attend several wine events.  The trip includes a cocktail meet-and-greet, a wine dinner open to the public and an industry trade tasting.

Tara Empson, Owner and CEO of Empson USA, is a Wine Enthusiast 40 under 40 Tastemaker for 2019.  She began learning about wine as a child as she watched her parents, Neil and Maria Empson, build their wine exporting business from the ground up.  From a young age, Tara traveled with her parents to visit the winemakers and grew up playing in the vineyards while her parents held meetings with the winery owners.  Today Tara Empson still maintains those close-knit relationships with wineries that the company was built on, even going so far as to tell stories about some of the winery owners and their pets.

That know-your-neighbor approach sits well in Texas which has one of the fastest-growing wines scenes in the United States.  In an area known more for whiskey and beer, Texas has transformed into a contemporary wine scene with consumers reaching for higher-quality and more diverse offerings.  Consumers tend to be discerning, with an appreciation for small production and craftsmanship.

The Events

• A trade tasting will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, this is an industry tasting open to Distributor Sales Reps and Key On-off Premise Accounts.  The event will be held at Dolce Rivera, a coastal Italian restaurant located in the Harwood District of Dallas which specializes in hand made pastas and coastal seafood cuisine.
• A Meet-and-Greet Cocktail Party with Tara Empson will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Te Deseo. This event is open to the public.
• The Tour di Vino Wine Dinner with Tara Empson will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm at Dolce Rivera. This event is open to the public but reservations are required.
