100% Chardonnay. The color is a deep lemon. On the nose, there are aromas of citrus, as well as honeydew melon and hints of peach/nectarine. There are also some underlying savory notes (toast and brioche) as a result of the secondary fermentation and lees contact in the barrel. The palate reveals intense fruit concentration, with a nice spine of acidity to keeping the wine tight and focused, with a lingering finish.

100% Carricante. Soft straw yellow. The bouquet shows lovely aromas that highlight the freshness and lovely character of this wine.

70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon. The color is pale gold with aromas of citrus fruit, greengage, gooseberry, and passionfruit. There is also a hint of struck match and freshly crushed thyme. The Semillon component helps fill out the palate, adding weight, and richness, while also acting to restrain the exuberant herbaceousness of the sauvignon blanc. The lees contact adds further creaminess and body.
An alternative and complex expression of New Zealand Sauvignon blanc with texture and length not often associated kiwi Sauvignon. A versatile food wine that can be aged.
100% Carricante. Structured wine, with complex aromas of grapefruit and herbs; fresh and flavorful, long finish.
This 100% Carricante varietal is an intense expression of its terroir. Lovely acidity and great minerality are characteristics of terrain (Milo), which is undoubtedly the best for Etna whites.
100% Riesling. The color is straw yellow. On the nose, there is an abundance of citrus, particularly the orange zest that so defines North Canterbury Rieslings. There are also hints of red apple and apricot, layered with honeysuckle and guava. The extended hang time has added a concentration to the palate, together with ripe phenolics that give structure and length. Despite its body, the wine still has a crisp and refreshing acidity that matches its off-dry finish perfectly.

100% Carricante. A rich golden yellow, almost amber color with wonderful aromas, great structure, freshness and minerality.
Vigna Sant’Andrea is made from grapes grown in a selected parcel of the Archineri Etna Bianco vineyard. To make this unique wine, Pietradolce not only carefully chose the parcel of land, but each individual plant as well.

Underpinning this are savory notes. The palate is satisfyingly concentrated with fine-grained tannins, and a refreshing minerality which ensures the wine remains tight and focused, with a lasting finish.
Cooler than average Spring temperatures led to a smaller set, resulting in excellent fruit concentration. A warm Summer and long lingering Autumn then followed, allowing this smaller crop to reach optimum ripeness.
100% Nerello Mascalese. Soft pink, the wine shows lovely fruit, distinctive acidity and the typical minerality of Etna wines.
Etna Rosato shows distinctive minerality and complexity combined with an intense, ample bouquet of rich aromas. These characteristics make this a very supple and versatile wine.

100% Nerello Mascalese. Bright scarlet in color, the wine shows notes of red fruits, earth, and minerality. On the palate the wine is elegant with an excellent sense of balance and finesse.

100% Sauvignon Blanc. The wine is deep golden, with aromas of stone fruit (peach/ apricot), lychee, pineapple, and passionfruit. Layered beneath are also hints of brioche, hazelnut, marmalade, and butterscotch. The presence of botrytis adds concentration and leads to a mouthfeel that is rich and unctuous, however, there remains a refreshing spine of acidity that ensures the wine is perfectly balanced while adding satisfying length.

Pietradolce’s main goal is to highlight the significant differences between the various Etna contradas, showing the absence of homogenization. In fact, each micro-territory on Etna expresses its own particular nuances, which can depend on different lava flows, exposure and pedoclimatic variations.
