Fulfilling a Promise of Quality: Fantini Montepulciano is a Top 100 Best Buy Wine
Fantini Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC 2018 has been awarded a place on the Wine Enthusiast Top 100 Best Buy List for 2019.
Each year Wine Enthusiast publishes its Top 100 Best Buys list. This list is comprised of wines that deliver heavily on quality while stretching each dollar to the max. According to Wine Enthusiast, in order to be considered for the list, a wine must be “attainable, buzzworthy, well-priced and simply delicious.” Selected from more than 1,400 wines, the Top 100 Best Buys list is a benchmark designation in the wine industry.
The Farnese Group, owners of Fantini, isn’t new to accolades touting its reputation for quality. The group was elected “Best Italian Producer” in 2016, 2017 and 2019 by one of the most important wine guides, the “Annuario dei Migliori Vini Italiani” by Luca Maroni and has been awarded 70 gold medals and international trophies in the past few years.
However, securing a spot on the Wine Enthusiast Top 100 Best Buys represents more than just another award. It is the fulfillment of Fantini’s philosophy when it comes to winemaking.
“Fantini’s goal is to produce wines that are an excellent value and quality, and can be enjoyed by all wine aficionados,” says Drew Kennedy, The Farnese Group’s National Sales Manager, “by securing a position on the Top 100 Best Buy list, it validates the work of our team of 20 winemakers, and confirms that goal.”
Having 20 winemakers may seem a little excessive to some, but for The Farnese Group, it is a logical step in order to ensure vintage-to-vintage quality. To the Farnese Group, excessive effort in the vineyards is pointless if the winery is unable to maintain specific standards when bottling. As a result, it employs the most advanced winery technology available to ensure the wines reflect the authentic characteristics of the grapes used.
The Wine Enthusiast Top 100 Best Buys list will be available in the November 2019 issue. For more information about Fantini please visit their website.
